One of my tasks for the Burnet Institute is the production of an annual report for the Victorian Illicit Drugs Reporting System (IDRS). It combines data from an annual survey of 150 people who inject drugs with data on drug-related hospitalisations, treatment, overdoses, arrests, drug seizures and other sources to give a comprehensive picture of injecting drug use in Victoria.

My latest article for Western Alliance’s In Brief looks at how heatwaves affect health and what can be done to prevent heat stress as heatwaves increase in frequency and severity in coming years.
